The AL1012ACM220 power supply unit transforms a standard 220VAC 50/60Hz input into eight independently controlled 12VDC outputs, supporting both Fail-Safe and Fail-Secure operations with a total continuous supply current of 10A. Each output can be activated through open collector sink or normally open (NO) dry trigger inputs, interfacing seamlessly with Access Control Systems, Card Readers, Keypads, Push Buttons, or PIR sensors. This versatile unit efficiently distributes power to a variety of access control components including Magnetic Locks, Electric Strikes, and Door Holders, in both Fail-Safe and Fail-Secure configurations.
The device can be powered via a single integrated power source providing energy for both the control board and locking mechanisms, or through two separate power inputs—one dedicated to board operation and another for lock/accessory power, requiring an external power supply. The integrated Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) Interface supports Emergency Egress, Alarm Monitoring, or triggering additional auxiliary devices, with a selectable fire alarm disconnect function for each of the eight outputs.
Input capabilities include a nominal 220VAC (range 198VAC – 256VAC) 50/60Hz rated at 1.0A, with versatile power supply input options: a single common power input or two isolated power inputs for board and lock accessory power (not exceeding a 10A total load). The system accommodates eight Access Control System trigger inputs, which can be configured as normally open (NO) inputs, open collector inputs, or a combination thereof.
Outputs offer flexible 12VDC @ 10A supply current distribution across eight individually controlled lines, able to function as Fail-Safe and/or Fail-Secure outputs or provide auxiliary power (unswitched). Output protections incorporate 3.5A rated fuses with filtered and electronically regulated outputs, supported by an integrated power supply.
Key features include individually selectable Fire Alarm disconnect functionality, with input options for normally open (NO)/normally closed (NC) dry contacts or polarity reversal from FACP signaling circuits. Alarm output relays and robust protections against short circuits and thermal overload further enhance system reliability. Visual indicators include red LEDs for active output triggers, a green LED for FACP disconnect status, and additional AC input and DC output indicators. The device is equipped with a built-in battery charger for sealed lead acid or gel batteries, ensuring seamless switch-over to battery backup during AC failures without voltage drop. It reliably operates within temperature ranges of 0ºC to 49ºC (32ºF to 120ºF) and stores between -20ºC and 70ºC (-4ºF to 158ºF), with relative humidity at 85% +/- 5% and producing approximately 61 BTU/Hr at 12VDC.
