The SD4 and SD16 smart distribution modules are integral to achieving a fully remote-managed access control system. These modules enable remote monitoring and management of auxiliary devices such as access control panels, readers, and request-to-exit (REX) devices that were previously unmonitored. By integrating with the NetLink and M8 modules, the entire access power infrastructure can now be monitored remotely. The SD4 and SD16 offer 4 or 16 monitored voltage outputs that can be accessed via an internet or network connection. They communicate with an NL4 or NLX network module, which is essential for operation. Additionally, an on-board RS485 connection facilitates Distributed Power Monitoring (DPM) across an enterprise from a single IP point, while a temperature probe provides critical environmental and enclosure data for remotely deployed enclosures. Each output on the SD4 and SD16 can be jumper set for either 12V or 24V, optimizing dual voltage power systems. The OutSmart dual-color LEDs provide a visual indication of voltage levels for each output (green for 12V, blue for 24V). Furthermore, each output can be configured over the network for fire alarm override, and can also be individually enabled or disabled through a browser interface. Network or internet monitoring allows for oversight of the voltage and current for each output, with customizable high and low trigger points to alert users when any output deviates from specified parameters.
