Description
The HVBMAXPTZPIT Protocol Interface Translator (PIT) serves as a key interface in surveillance systems by converting Honeywell’s Maxpro serial command protocol to both Honeywell’s VCL and Diamond Maxpro modes, as well as Sensormatic’s (AD) PTZ protocol. The PIT is equipped with two serial communication ports. The RS422/RS485 “Slave” port is designed to integrate with the master controller that outputs the MAXPRO-Net protocol. To facilitate this integration, an RS232 to RS422 converter is necessary to transform MAXPRO-Net data from RS232 format to RS422. Additionally, the RS422/RS485 “Master” port interfaces directly with PTZ devices.
