**Overview** – The Net2 access control system is a networked solution designed for centralized management, event monitoring, and adaptable user access control. Each control panel operates as part of a network, capable of functioning autonomously by making independent decisions and storing event data.
The Net2 plus control panel seamlessly integrates with a central management PC via an RJ45 connector on a standard TCP/IP Ethernet network, significantly enhancing installation flexibility across sites with existing LAN/WAN infrastructure. Additionally, the Net2 plus features an RS485 connection, enabling connectivity with other Net2 plus or Net2 classic panels through a dedicated CAT5 cable.
One Net2 plus panel serves as the network interface for the LAN and can establish a wired RS485 daisy chain with multiple Net2 units, eliminating the need for a separate TCP/IP to RS485 converter. The Net2 plus is also available with Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability, a technology allowing both power and data transmission over Ethernet cables. This PoE-enabled unit connects directly to the LAN through a standard RJ45 connector when used with a compatible PoE switch or injector.
Panels are available as PCB-only, in plastic enclosures, or mounted within a 2A metal/plastic boxed mains-monitored backup power supply. The Net2 plus now includes a PoE+ power supply within a metal or plastic cabinet, eliminating the requirement for a separate mains backup supply.
**Installation** – The Net2 plus control panel features a labeled diagram with color-coded connections for reader and power supply integration. The panel includes a voltage-free relay for managing any lock or electrical device. It also accommodates connections for exit buttons, door contacts, tamper switches, and alarm devices.
