Introducing our robust, economical, pad-mounted gooseneck pedestal, specifically tailored for card reader installations on large transportation vehicles such as buses, dump trucks, cement trucks, and semi-trucks (refer to the “Vehicle Height Chart”). At this height, drivers can often avoid retracting mirrors when approaching the pedestal. This versatile mount is perfect for installing intercoms, keypads, entry/exit buttons, biometric readers, telephone entry systems, housings, and other access control devices. Ideal for automatic gate entry, parking lot access, and perimeter security applications, it includes a faceplate with universal hole patterns, a heavy-duty base plate, and a sliding cover plate to conceal the mounting bolts. Unlike competitors’ pedestals made from .074″ wall tubes, our model uses a .120″ wall tube, offering 62% more steel for superior durability against vandalism and harsh weather conditions. It has even passed facewind testing, proving its resilience against sustained Category 5 hurricane force winds of 157 mph.
The gooseneck is precision-bent with a 6″ center radius using a cutting-edge mandrel bending die to ensure uniform curvature without compromising the neck’s structural integrity. This design is preferred by professional installers over competing products with extended necks or loose bending tolerances.
Each pedestal is bead-blasted to remove contaminants and blemishes and then coated with an outdoor-rated TGIC polyester powder finish with UV protection, ensuring long-lasting durability in any weather. All pedestals come with carriage bolt hardware, foam packaging, and are individually boxed for safe shipping.
