The AP-S15A is equipped with advanced noise filtering technology designed to mitigate Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) commonly introduced into AC lines by nearby radio transmitters or wireless devices. Additionally, it incorporates EMI filters to minimize noise from Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) generated by components such as electric motors and switching power supplies. Unstable AC Mains voltage is a significant cause of equipment failure, with potential energy surges reaching voltages of up to 6kV or amperage peaks of 3000A. These power spikes are typically short-lived but extremely rapid. The AP-S15A features high-speed circuitry capable of suppressing unwanted energy with a nanosecond response time and maintaining suppression for up to 2 milliseconds. The unit includes a removable 12-foot IEC cord with a retainer for added flexibility. Key features include 9 total outlets, with 8 positioned on the rear panel (7 switched, 1 unswitched) and 1 unswitched outlet on the front panel. It also provides Radio Frequency and Electromagnetic Interference filtering, circuit breaker protection rated at 15A, and can suppress spikes up to 6000V.
