Description
The AX-8M serves as an audio-only master station and is part of the robust AX Integrated Audio & Video Security platform, accommodating up to eight master stations. Each AX-8M is equipped to initiate and receive communications from as many as seven other master stations, as well as up to eight doors or substations. For expanded functionality, the master station can be enhanced with AX-16SW add-on selectors, increasing its capacity to manage up to 12 door or substation connections. Designed with a sleek profile, the station can be conveniently mounted on a wall or desk. When a door or substation initiates a call, users are alerted by a distinctive tremolo tone. Calls can be answered effortlessly by pressing the TALK button once for hands-free operation or using it in a push-to-talk, release-to-listen mode by pressing and holding. If integrated with access control systems, pressing the “key” button activates the corresponding electric strike or magnetic lock. The AX-8M is capable of responding to calls from any audio-only or audio/video connected door or substation within the security network.
