Description
The GT-MKB-N is an advanced video guard station designed for use with the GT Series multi-tenant video intercom systems. It’s versatile in installation, allowing for surface mounting on the wall, integration with a 3-gang electrical box, or convenient desk placement using the accompanying stand. This unit is equipped with a keypad for seamless communication with both tenant and entrance stations, featuring a handset for private conversations. Users can easily navigate the directory with up and down buttons to locate tenant names, while a door release button provides controlled access at points of communication.
With two distinct calling modes—standard and emergency—the GT-MKB-N ensures responsive interaction. Standard mode initiates a typical call tone, displaying the caller’s name and number onscreen. In emergency mode, an urgent tone is emitted, drawing attention to the “EMERGENCY” display, complete with caller details. Calls in standard mode are terminated by replacing the handset, whereas emergency calls require resetting at the tenant location.
Programming the GT-MKB-N is flexible and can be done manually, through a PC with the included USB cable, or via an Android™ device using NFC technology. In a standard GT Series setup, up to two GT-MKB-N stations can be accommodated, while an expanded configuration supports up to four. The system allows for a single talk path, with a busy tone alerting users when the line is in use during an attempted call.
