The WMA Series wall enclosures are constructed from 16-gauge steel, featuring an 18″ deep center section and adjustable mounting rails, along with a 4.5″ deep rear section. These enclosures offer panel space openings varying from 10 RU to 35 RU, ideal for telecom and IT infrastructure. They come equipped with features for custom enclosure mounting, wire management, equipment installation, and structural support, all finished in a black electrostatic powder coat for enhanced durability. Each model includes adjustable front rack rails, tapped at 10-32, and adheres to industry-standard EIA 1/2″ spacing. Hat channels are incorporated to provide adjustable rack rail support with securing holes for fixed rail positioning.
Top and bottom removable 3RU panels located in the center section accommodate EFP Series fan panels for improved ventilation or isolation panels for power management. The rear section’s back face is designed with 1/4″ deep boss detents, offering installers the flexibility to add custom sub-plates made from plywood, aluminum, or steel for accessory mounting. These detents are spaced at 12″ intervals.
The rear section is equipped with an interchangeable right or left-hand cylinder lock for enhanced security. A 12.5″ x 12.5″ cut-out on the back pan facilitates cable access through the mounting surface, and raised mounting embosses provide easy attachment of power units and other accessories. For increased convenience, the back pan is boxed separately yet shipped on the same pallet with the center section, allowing for straightforward job site installation by additional trades.
An exclusive, integral alignment frame ensures complete center section support, while extensive internal bracing offers superior cable management and pass-through. The mirror-image back pan allows for left or right hinging of the center section, and multiple knockouts in the top and bottom of the rear section are provided for conduit and wireless antennas.
The new side lock security system offers a user-friendly yet secure method of attaching the center section to the back pan, and a new continuous slot “hat action” design allows full front-to-back rail adjustment. Securing holes on the top and bottom of the unit enable fixed positioning of the rails. This secure and innovative design simplifies the process of mounting the center section to the rear pan, allowing safe installation by a single technician.
Enclosures are shipped with one set of plated rack rails and include 100 10/32 x .75″ rack screws with captive washers. An optional rear rack rail pair, model WMA-RRxx (specific to the height per model), is also available. The top and bottom cutouts are compatible with Atlas Sound ES Series single or dual fan panels and come with 3RU blank panels pre-installed.
