The local operator console is a significant enhancement for any emergency voice system catering to mass notification needs. This robust unit combines a supervised remote microphone with an annunciator, compatible with the EVS-Series Emergency Voice System, and fulfills UL standards for local operator consoles.
The console integrates seamlessly with the 6820EVS Emergency Voice System, featuring a supervised on-board microphone for live announcements. Its annunciator facilitates full control of the fire alarm system, including silencing and resetting functions.
Equipped with a sizable 4×40 LCD backlit screen, the console displays up to 160 characters, providing generous space for clear messaging. Additionally, the console includes four programmable buttons designed to streamline the execution of complex or routine tasks.
Emergency communication functions feature an on-board supervised microphone and buttons for initiating all-call and non-active calls, allowing for the swift selection of all active or non-active output groups. The system prioritizes EVS messages over fire alerts.
Enhancing the console’s application, the EVS-CE4 extends coverage by adding four audio circuits to amplifiers like the EVS-50W, EVS-100W, or EVS125W, mappable to 32 buttons for controlling selected output groups. It is integrated within the amplifier cabinet, optimizing space efficiently.
For further customization, the 5880 LED/IO module integrates well with the console application. Offering 40 programmable LED outputs and eight supervised dry contact inputs, up to eight 5880 modules can be used with one control panel, maximizing flexibility. Its compact design allows for mounting within the console or an accessory cabinet.
Regarding fire and emergency voice communication systems, the 6820EVS combines both functions in a single panel, meeting UL 2572 requirements for mass notification systems.
