Description
**Introduction**
The Honeywell Home 7810PC IP Receiver Software is an advanced, highly upgradeable, and feature-rich IP alarm receiver solution designed to replace traditional hardware-based alarm receivers such as the 7810iR-ENT.
Alarm receivers like the 7810PC and the 7810iR-ENT play a crucial role in the security industry by monitoring alarms, check-ins, and status messages from fire and security systems.
**How it Works**
Security technology across protected premises sends alarms and messages to either a central station’s private LAN or to AlarmNet, which stores and forwards them to the central station via the Internet. The central station employs the 7810PC to manage these alarms and messages. Serving as both a buffer and an interface, it enables the viewing and forwarding of events to automation systems for further processing. The 7810PC supports three receiver automation modes—Manual, Serial, and TCP/IP—offering varying levels of operational intervention. Across all modes, the following functionality applies:
– Incoming messages appear in the alarm history using ADEMCO® high-speed or Contact ID formats.
– Both the New Alarm and Alarm History windows function as first-in first-out (FIFO) buffers, each limited to 1,000 entries. In private mode, once the capacity is reached, each new message displaces the oldest. All messages are stored in a Microsoft SQL database, with AlarmNet data stored in SQL at AlarmNet, and Private LAN data stored locally in SQL.
