Description
### System Overview
When undertaking operations such as cutting and drilling through materials like concrete, steel, or synthetic reinforcements, deviations from the normal vibration patterns of these structures often occur. The SENSTEC sensor technology is designed to convert these vibration deviations into electrical signals. A digital signal processing unit within the seismic detector then analyzes these signals to compare them against a frequency range that is typical of intrusion tools used for breaching safes, night safes, and similar security containers. If the detected signals fall within this specified frequency range, the seismic detector transmits an alarm through a relay contact.
### Functions
#### Detection
The seismic detector is adept at identifying vibrations resulting from both explosive devices and tools such as diamond-tipped drills, mechanical and hydraulic rams, flame cutters, thermal lances, and water jet cutters. SENSTEC sensors, paired with precise digital signal processing, focus on a narrow frequency range, ensuring reliable detection under various conditions. Furthermore, the seismic detector is resilient against environmental factors, including air movement and ambient noise.
### Sensitivity Settings via DIP Switches
Sensitivity settings are configurable using DIP switch settings. Select the appropriate sensitivity setting based on the application, material type, and the presence of possible interference. Available settings include:
– Steel, 2.0 m
– Steel, 2.5 m
– Concrete, 4.0 m
– User mode, customizable with SensTool software
### SensTool Software
SensTool software for PCs provides comprehensive options, including:
– Modifying factory default settings
– Monitoring detector performance
– Storing detailed information such as integrator signals
– Selecting additional detector and shock sensitivity settings
### Fixing Device
An optional fixing device is available to enhance ISN-SM seismic detectors for monitoring safes and strong rooms against thermal and mechanical attacks and unauthorized access. This device comprises a detector plate, a door plate, and a standby plate. The detector plate contains a monitoring microswitch and a magnetic contact. In the armed state, the monitoring switch remains closed. Removal of the detector from the door plate opens the monitoring switch, triggering an alarm. During operational hours, the detector can be placed on the standby plate.
### Swivel Plate
The swivel plate, another optional accessory for the ISN-SM seismic detector, is particularly useful for safeguarding safes and strong rooms with exposed keyholes. It includes a microswitch that monitors any unauthorized movement of the plate. If such movement is detected, an alarm is immediately triggered. When armed, the swivel plate covers the keyhole completely. When disarmed, it swivels to a 90° angle relative to the keyhole, allowing access.
