The PIE-1 is an advanced encoder designed to convert analog relay outputs into original ASCII codes, specifically the Redwall Event Code, for integration with Redwall and Fiber SenSys detectors. This technology facilitates the seamless connection of detectors to Video Management Software (VMS) platforms, enabling precise control of IP cameras. By generating the Redwall Event Code from analog alarm inputs provided by Redwall and Fiber SenSys detectors, PIE-1 ensures that the VMS can effectively receive these codes and execute commands such as repositioning cameras to pre-set positions or initiating recording.
The PIE-1 is equipped with Power over Ethernet (PoE) capabilities, compliant with IEEE802.3 af/at standards, offering a streamlined power supply through a PoE hub or switch. This feature reduces installation time and costs by requiring only a single LAN cable to connect to the PoE hub or switch.
